$1600 A-Frame She Shed/Tiny House in Australia

With an added small bathroom (some have been done with this model/plans- link to them BELOW), this little Queensland A-frame could make for very modest (and incredibly affordable) . This particular little //home away from home was built for under $1600 Australian (thats under $1200 US). The plans were designed by Derek “Deek” Diedricksen and then sketched by David Stiles and are available at the link provided.

  1. I Like it. I like the A-Frame any how but I really like the extras she added. The doors and windows. And the Ducks my Gma and Gpa had them.

  2. I could see how that little structure would be perfect for me. I’m not a she, but I could definitely make it a he shed. Man cave all the way! Awesome!

  3. This one is a mere 80 square feet inside, with a tiny storage loft- on that could actually sleep a person if you had to- could you do it??

    • Its been done by quite a few people- most just frame in the swing wall/clear wall permanently, or with ply (which makes it heavier IF you wanted it to still open)

  4. So cool. And speaking of cool, I am wondering if a vent of some sort would be a good idea in the roof top….to take out all of that Qld heat that I’m currently sweltering in.

  5. I am always contemplating a shed or small cottage/cabin for my property. I own books by David Stiles and of course read many of your books. This is a perfect option for one of my sites. Thank you for sharing.

  6. I wouldn’t build even a small doghouse on a milk crate foundation. The sun will rot the ones on the edge & many crates are property of the business that uses them. Yes, I’m being a Debbie Downer.
