#546- Two Story Tree House w/a HOT TUB! -Off Grid Tiny House Living

In this tour, Chris shows us a he built and designed as an for a women in North Carolina. This in a tree has a sleeping loft, is made from salvaged and materials, and also has a wood fired “redneck hot tub” next to it. A spot like this could be ideal for homesteading in the future too.

  1. Please update when interior is finished. Love the zebra-wood look on the trim boards! A micro-hydro power source would seem ideal for your location. Only criticism, and I hate to criticize anything about what you’re doing, and in spite of your warning at the beginning, it’s not a treehouse if no trees are involved in supporting the structure.

  2. That is epic, we are selling our Off grid Homestead and when we move we look to build a few things. I still do not know if I can get a hot tub, but I know I will not have that view.

    • @relaxshacksDOTcom thanks for the info. the area looks beautiful. i grew up in Ohio and we had lots of hills and creeks like that. now i’m in east lansing, michigan and this whole lower peninsula is pretty flat and boring.

  3. I’d like to recommend nixing the vining over the arbor over the front door. It will be a spider magnet and you really don’t want to be walking thru webs getting inside and worse, getting a spider on you and not knowing where it is. Better to do on a non-entry location. Trust me.
