Part 2 of the insulated metal houses I have been displaying on YouTube. This is just $6,000! Located in SW Oklahoma they are extremely energy efficient. They make comparable buildings everywhere in the nation so any person can get something similar. It's an inexpensive choice for anybody trying to be independent in a sturdy insulated structure. If you purchase your home in cash and dwell off grid pretty much reside for free except for luxurious gadgets and food but also you could grow your own!

what are they for?
what about a bathroom and kitchen?
Metallic echo? Is it Heavy Metal or just Metallic?
Great little bug out cabin
And a bargain at that price
great video.
I have one. a few things…you can put vinyl siding or cedar siding on the
outside to improve the looks. you can Install gutters to collect rainwater
in a barrel too. Put down lanolium or even tile on the floor looks cool.
You can screen in the front porch and hang a screen door for bug free
Summer sitting and sipping. Ants love to build nests under the panels, seal
them out w/ a heavy coat of rustoleum paint. Wooden garden lattice around
the bottom keeps critters out while allowing airflow.
One concern…check with manufacturing company/builder about insulation
used in their product and its fire hazards- not just being flammable but
giving off toxic fumes when heated. That would concern me when laying down
to sleep in such a small unvented area
Volkmann from the ufc?
Bathroom/shower? You need ventilation. Even if you use it for washer &
dryer room.
You need ventilation in that room for bathroom/shower
i wonder if the resale value would go down or up if you installed a
woodburning stove with the chimney poking out , piping that goes from
inside to out for water harvesting, a hole in the wall with hoses leading
to outside propane tanks and guard rails at the edge of the loft
that’s so awesome
Thanks for the video, I’d love to get something like this. If I needed more
room I could just put two of ’em side by side…
I wouldn’t use the front loft to sleep..Someone could fire right up through
it from underneath haha.
wow…2 lofts. one for each eyebrow…
good video but look into a wind cover for your mike its foam that goes over
mic takes some of the wind noise away
Might want some land, taxes, permits… just something to think about if
your in the US.
looks like a tool shed on steroids
Curtains and carpet would take away a majority of the echo before you even
started furnishing. Don’t think it would be a bother really. Nice vid, Tim.
I really like these shed/barns.
Structurally speaking, the exact same issue is true of the rear loft.
Although, I think if that’s a major concern, one might consider a different
type of shelter entirely. lol
Bunker for sure.
Bunker for sure.
so ugly!….go away with this ….
Maybe you can be my “interior decorator”?
I think small shelters such as this are a great way to get ahead. Get a
piece of land, then live mortage free while saving your money like crazy
until you can build a larger .. mortage free home .. then either use this
for office space OR rent it out to regain the money you spent on it in the
first place. Long range thinkers .. those with a large ‘time horizon’
rather than the ‘Want it Get it group typically make out much better.
Not so ugly compared to living in one’s car though yes? One can make such
spaces as homey and sweet as they want. You gotta have vision. Me? I’d
prefer wood I thinks, but I’d need to do all the research and weigh the
pros and cons. Termites will NOT find this thing tasty at least, and its
Fire Rating is probably low. These are things that start to make it look
better. In the end its more about Cost and Efficiency for me.
Clearly one MUST do some research, LOTS of it first. The structure is just
step one of many. When I built my mortgage free house, after the land, was
a good artesian well (not cheep) & a septic tank/leach field ..again NOT
cheep. I’m thinking that an area that would allow zoning for such buildings
will likely NOT have town water or sewage. Clearly this type of living is
NOT for everyone but certainly the answer for some. Hey.stick grandma in
there to keep her out of the nursing home : )
These structures are built from steel “reject” doors. The manufacturer is
near where I live. Most people in our area buy them for storage units. They
have very poor quality paint on them and require oil based paint to
re-paint them. The floors are very minimal and have little in the way of
structural support so they warp easily. They are constructed by joining the
reject door panels together with pop rivets. Free country, buy what you
want, just be informed.
That really is a good idea to give potential buyers an image of what can
fit where. Dont take those ideas as negative
Opinions are allowed. You are not trying to reach out to those that are not

that is just perfect
