Kat (or “Katwise” as she’s known on Etsy) fell in love with a dilapidated 180 year old farmhouse and spent years renovating it into a rainbow, psychedelic wonderland.

  1. Which room in Kat’s rainbow farmhouse is your favorite: Seafoam kitchen, psychadelic hallway, wall of faces guest nook, plant-filled bathroom, wall of mirrors ballroom, gentlemen’s quarters, secret man library, optical-illusion staircase, sad-doll bedroom, sweater studio, or zen attic?

    • I love the vintage aspects of the kitchen, but not the color or late 60s early 70s table and chairs and a few other items that I had enough of growing up. The library is amazing and cozy and I want to curl up with a good book with a fire in the fireplace and maybe some soft music and a cup of tea. I love color and have used bold colors in my homes , but her house was a bit too much for my senses which could actually be a result of the brain injuries I suffered in 2011.

    • @Eydie Garcelon I looked her up on Instagram and she makes the sweaters in batches but they go really fast! Thatโ€™s what I understood from what I saw! I know I wanted to buy one so badly so hopefully next time she puts out a batch of them!

    • I’ve seen Kat’s sweaters before and think they’re fantastic! She is sooooo creative! I love every bit of this house! Although, I agree, I don’t think I could sleep in the ‘faces’ room! The antique kitchen is wonderful! Every crazy and colorful part of this house is an experience to behold! ๐Ÿฅฐ ๐ŸŒˆ ๐Ÿ’–

  2. I want to be Katโ€™s friend! ๐Ÿคฉ what an amazing, crazy cool home you and your BF built! Holding onto the height wall from the family before is such a beautiful treasure to cherish. I hope the kids who grew up there get to see this video! And the boyfriend man-cave library is my favorite room! And your hilarious story about how you found those church doors on Craigslist. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘ and when life gave you a tornado, you didnโ€™t give up but created a beautiful deck instead! So inspiring. keep living your dreams! ๐ŸŒˆ

  3. As another dead head whoโ€™s lived in vans and rvs and now a house,
โ€œI donโ€™t need anything but give me lots of itโ€
    is exactly right

  4. Some features are really cool, but I personally prefer it to have few special features so they can really pop out or give this bit of special vibe. Too colourful or too many decorations make me feel rather stressed

  5. So much clutter isn’t very soothing to me. It’s visual chaos to me. I would find it hard to focus in that house. But kudos to Kat for following her bliss.

  6. Good tour but I’d hate living in the house….what are all those revolting heads on the wall? That’d freak me right out – like a phobia with clowns!
