Living in a Tiny House Stinks (Sometimes)

I’m going to get real with you, and tell you why (sometimes) living a Tiny is terrible.

OPENING DRONE SHOT: Jonathan Benabed

MUSIC: Peter Kuli | Track: “Love It”

  1. Thank you for being up front regarding tiny houses. It has its good points if you have land that allows one. I would have a larger frame for a bit more square footage and add a 4-seasons porch. So I guess that would be a cross between a true mobile tiny home and a conventional house. Maybe more like a comfortable ready made camp. Oh, and an outside shed would help out…you make valid points. Living tiny CAN be a real cost saving alternative to a traditional house.

  2. I have lived in many small spaces and totally agree with you. I would never own a composting toilet but I can just imagine how great it is to tell people how to use it. NOT.
Thanks for the video and truth that not everything is all sunshine and roses 😉

  3. As far as vacuuming and smells: ever hear of a rainbow vacuum? They are expensive as hell. But they can be used as an air purifier.

  4. I think I would like a tiny built on a gooseneck trailer. It would be like a small fifth wheel but cuter. There would be less of a climb to the bed and more headroom over it.

  5. Thank you! There are so many ups (ability to travel, smaller expenses, more freedom, etc.) but no one ever talks about what the downsides are to living tiny! I personally wish I could have a bathtub, but that ain’t happening. :p

  6. Just watching you make the bed was enough to deter me. Maybe stop snowboarding! Any injury at all and you won’t be able to manage the gymnastics routine you need to do to make your own bed. And then there’s that toilet….You Love it????! I could have a toilet that plays music and washes my butt and I wouldn’t Love it, or want it that close to my kitchen and living area. Gross. Your young and pretty, it was painful for me to see your closet. I have a daughter your age and if she ever expresses misery about her apt closet, I’m gonna show her this. That’s sad that someone would use your life to try n make someone else appreciate theirs. Good luck in your journeys.

  7. Gratitude!!!!? I’m not deterred about buying a Tiny House but I prefer to know the down/dark side to any endeavor. This video was needed because I have wondered about all the issues you presented.

One thing not mentioned, owner or guest falling off loft ladders and steps with no rail to grip. ?

Another Tiny House owner mentioned curious people peering in your windows. Asking to view the inside of your Tiny House. Do you have this problem? ?

  8. I was judging you. I’ll admit it. I was deciding how much nicer it would have been if you’d done this video naked.

  9. Thank you for being honest and sharing this information. No judging here I want do tiny house or Vanlife my rent is 1,500 so I trying to find a cheaper way to live and travel. Ty again.

  10. after watching this video it doesn’t diminish my intention living in tiny house . those matter are true but it’s ok:)
