Derek “Deek” Diedricksen shows us his very simple modern tree house mini cabin (or “single sleeper”) up in Vermont on his Tiny House Summer Camp land. These little sleep pods are where some of the students will sleep/camp while attending the yearly classes Deek hosts up in the woods each year. This little tree house is incredibly simple to build and eventually will have a plan set for it up and available on http://www.relaxshacks.com The front of this little getaway camp (which can be built wider to sleep two!- EASILY), is covered with a very durable materials called Tuftex Polycarbonate- link is down further below. This is certainly one of the easier to build tree houses out there- and also one of the most affordable ones. A stucture like this could also be used as a wilderness survival getaway on a budget for for SHTF situations- even for homesteading DIY weekend training sessions.

I missed summer camp this year! Neat build Deek!
We didn’t have one this year, but next year we definitely will- year number 8!
I agree it is a neat build. It wasn’t until you got closer, I could see where the red was coming from. Pretty cool with the Tuft Texs side!
While its incredibly easy, some still wanted the measurements and angles, etc- so I’m creating some plan sets that will eventually be on https://relaxshacks.myshopify.com/collections/all
As long as it keeps the sleeping bag dry – We’re good !
Are those the panels I helped you unload back in 2016? Looking good!
I’ve been thinking a *lot* lately about putting sleep-pod-sized units on my property.
I will definitely nab a copy of the plans once they appear at the Relaxshacks website.
I love how you just build all those little houses. I feel a bit stuck in the planning stage. But I am saving up for a piece of land up here in Northern Sweden. Then I can live in the woods. Thank you for all the wonderful inspiration =)
